The Organic Pet Food Company
Review and testing of two of their products.
I contacted the very personable Rozanne Gallon the brains
behind the Organic Pet Food Company after surfing the
internet for a client who had a dog who seemed intolerant to
every doggy snack on the commercial market.
The Organic Pet Food Company is truly an Organic Company in
every sense of the word and has the Organic Certification
UK4.
Rozanne happily sent me sample products to test on my own
dogs to see if they were receptive to the somewhat unusual
flavours but high quality biscuits.
First up were the Sun-dried Tomato, Spinach and Herb
Biscuits. These were a assortment of bone shaped biscuits
which come in a pack of 150g (small bone size) or a
mini-bone size in 100g. All 3 flavours went down really well
with my dogs and the crunchy hard texture didn’t seem to
faze their ability to polish them off at a rapid rate. At
£2.50 for 150g and £1.50 per 100g per bag they are a good
buy.
Next testing was of the smaller and easier to eat Mint Herb
Biscuits. These are small bite biscuits, again in a mini
bone shape form and ideal for the small dog who doesn’t like
larger snacks. I must admit I had my reservations as to how
these charcoal coloured biscuits would go down with my food
fussy Whippet, however he absolutely loved them and so did
my other dog. These biscuits would particularly be good for
a dog with flatulence as they contain mint, parsley and
charcoal which all aid in making dog digestion more pleasant
for all concerned. Retailing at £1.50 per 100g they make an
ideal training aid too.
